Diagnostic Laboratory Testing

Our extensive in-house laboratory provides critical information when your pet is sick or in need of routine surgery. We also have access to a centralized reference laboratory with couriers twice daily when more extensive blood work is needed. Our in-house laboratory is equipped to perform general health testing (CBC, chemistry profile, electrolyte levels, T4, bile acid, cortisol, coagulation profile etc).

These important procedures can help us to establish the right diagnosis quickly and greatly reduce the risks associated with anesthesia and surgery. Our lab can also provide regular fecal exams (Sheather’s Sugar Flotation with Centrifuge), cytology, urinalysis, fructosamine, pancreatitis, giardia screening, parvovirus, feline leukemia, feline FIV, heartworm, Lyme, anaplasmosis, and ehrlichiosis canis tests.
